Guided tour “Autour de l'eau” at the Gallo-Roman Museum
As part of the 2019 year of tourism dedicated to the theme of "Wallonia, Land of Water", the Gallo-Roman Musem in Ath is open free of charge on the first Sunday of every month for a guided tour of its collections.
Find out about the ancient boats discovered during the archaeological digs in Pommeroeul in 1975. Perfectly preserved, these watercraft are the museum's showpieces. They have also been classified as among the Wallonia-Brussels Federation's "treasures".
For these tours, which are suitable for children and adults alike, the guide will reveal an item taken out of storage especially for the occasion, with a direct connection to the tourism theme of water.
