Museum of Folklore and Cross-border Life (MUSEF - Leven op de grens)
Opened on 21 September 2019 after 5 years of building work, the Museum of Folklore and Cross-border Life (Musée de Folklore vie Frontalière) features a permanent exhibition of more than 1,500 objects/documents/accounts as well as a temporary exhibition entitled "Le Musée en chantiers" (The Museum under construction) (until 12 January 2020). Fantastic collections, housed in a jewel of contemporary architecture and showcased by a new layout, will introduce visitors to some surprising discoveries from the Picardy and cross-border regions.
The Museum also puts on lots of events including heritage workshops and extra-curricular courses, as well as a heritage garden and a well-stocked document centre dedicated to Mouscron. It has established itself as a benchmark for regional ethnology.
