Sentier de l’Etrange & Quintine in the Pays des Collines

Come and spend half a day and get a taste of the strong sense of folklore here in the heart of the Pays des Collines. Start your outing with your partner, family or friends at Ellezelles, the town that is famous for its Witches Festival.

Walk along the Sentier de l’Etrange (6kms – 2h30)

Start your walk at the beginning of the afternoon at the Maison du Pays des Collines. Stéphane and his team offer a warm welcome and will provide you any advice you need about the Sentier de l’Etrange. Don’t forget to ask for the magic password that you should use while stroking the Quintine witch before leaving. This walk is ideal with children as the path is lined with strange and imaginative characters created by the painter Watkyne. It is also very popular with hikers as it offers magnificent views of the surrounding countryside and the hills dotted with pollarded willows. This walk will take you 2h30.
