Brasserie des Légendes - Site Gouyasse

2000: Pierre Delcoigne begins his brewing activities. The brewery in Ath is deeply rooted in the rural mediaeval world, and now produces the beer that the Giants never had. 2006: the brewery merged with the Brasserie Ellezelloise; the Brasserie des Légendes was born... A young company doesn't necessarily forget about tradition. Owners Pierre and Vinciane's brewing method is infusion, the oldest one known to man. Some of the equipment dates back to the end of the 19th century, while other pieces are from the 1930s. The brewery's flagship beer is the Gouyasse. A "robust" beer, it is unfiltered and unpasteurised. A beer that is refermented in the bottle, which gives it a natural fizz. A beer based on the alchemy of its basic natural ingredients: malt, hops, water and yeast. In less than three years, the Gouyasse has become the pride of the Ath region, alongside its giant of a namesake, Goliath. Other delicious beers complete the range, including the Gouyasse Triple and the Saison Voisin. There are plenty of treats to enjoy here, and in summer they can be used to wash down some local produce.
